A large outdoor area fills with tourists on sunny afternoons. While Pamela Talimanidis and son Alex control the kitchen, husband Kosta oversees the chic dining room, which shows city tavernas a thing or two. The modern Greek menu is largely dictated by the day’s catch. Expect half-a-dozen fish options from the grill; a simple dressing of lemon and olive oil leaves the focus on the ocean-fresh fillets. The menu is otherwise spearheaded by artisan salads (prosciutto, fig and parmesan) and hearty meat dishes such as lamb keftethes. The wine list – the Achilles heel of so many Greek restaurants – leads the way with a punchy list of local and Kiwi drops.
